Contacts

Posted in New Work by Harry on December 10, 2009

Thought I’d post some contact sheets from my latest project at Brighton. VERY rough work but I always like seeing other people’s contact sheets so figured other people might get something outta them..

6×7 is a bitch to print on 8×10 inch paper, you can only fit up to 9 frames on one sheet, so you end up using 2 pieces of paper with 6 on one and 4 on the other. I thought I’d randomly select some contacts from different rolls..

Just a start, and I’m not totally sure about it so far, but I want to revisit and reshoot some places, such as that intersection at Black Rock where I accidentally included the edge of a wall in the bottom left of the frame. More soon.

Hung out with Dora a few weeks ago, shot some colour negative film for the first time in a while, only just got around to looking at more than a couple of frames which caught my eye the first time round. I’m currently making new work for my latest project for Brighton, ‘Place’ (could they give us more generic titles..?), which is a more landscape orientated project, together with a series of portraits and what I’m calling ‘details’. Shot mostly on 6×7 and a bit of 35mm. Still in black and white, I’m looking forward to getting some fiber 16×20 and working on my printing, definitely need a change from printing on plastic. Anyway, snaps:
