You Don't Need a Witness

These images were submitted for my first project at Brighton – titled ‘Identity’, the brief was to come up with a portrait-based work shot on black and white film. These photographs kind of follow on from the work I was doing at the beginning of the year shooting teenagers living in abandoned buildings in central London, in the sense it’s still photographs of ‘youth’ and young people growing up in the big city. I don’t really want to write too much about these photographs yet – I’m still getting my head around what it is that draws me to these kinds of subjects. It’s certainly something personal, something I can relate to. But I can’t discern whether it has any importance yet.  Anyway, photos:
